Vintage spirit

A morning post about a czech photograph; born in 1935 : Jan Saudek.

His work, inspired of Mucha or his master Frantisek Drtikol, creates a vintage atmosphere where the nude and dressed poses seem captured with the spontaneity of a daily life of art creatures.

Why do I say vintage ? Because of the costumes and the way, as when there was no means to make colored pictures (the Autochrome was invented by the “Frères Lumière” in 1903), to colour the black and white photos. That gives a feeling of nostalgy ; the time in abeyance.

Composed like a bronze (evokes for me the Gates of Hell of Rodin).

Composed like a Renaissance painting (evokes for me a Pietà).
